I've spent more than 36 years in the Washington, D.C. area building a distinguished career as a journalist, public affairs consultant, lobbyist, and Emmy Award-winning producer of public service programming. Through my volunteer work with the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, American Red Cross, Habitat for Humanity, local food banks and Project Hope, I've helped to meet the needs of people in my own community and abroad. I've also coached girls soccer in No. VA for 12 seasons - one of my passions!
My unique real estate interest merges modern and historic design styles, influenced by my own home-buying experiences in the United States and Europe, and has led to several of my homes being featured in major style and architectural magazines. These personal experiences of buying and renovating properties enhance my ability to represent distinctive homes and our exceptional clients.

Reflecting the best of European architecture and positioned high above the banks of the Potomac River lies one of the great homes of the Capital Region, Chateau Grande Vie. Its name hailing from the unequivocally serene views it offers residents from nearly every room of the estate. The handsome turreted stone façade is set against a verdant wooded landscape on a privately sited 85 foot stretch of untouched riverfront in prestigious McLean, Virginia. The grand atrium welcomes guests with soaring cathedral ceilings anchored by a curved staircase comprised of intricate wrought-iron detailing, which serves as a functional work of art, setting the tone for the 16,000 square foot expanse. Beyond the main stair, a generous family room, river views from every window, a handsome study with an adjacent outdoor terrace and a chefâs kitchen with professional-grade appliances highlight the main level which are accented by imported marble, Brazilian cherry flooring, and numerous crystal chandeliers reminiscent of the finest homes found along the French and Italian Rivera. Ascending the main staircase first draws the eye upward â to a sculpted, barreled ceiling reflecting visions of the renowned Roman Pantheon. An ownerâs suite, unlike any other, offers surreal river views, complementing four additional bedroom suites, each featuring lavishly appointed marble baths with jetted jacuzzi tubs. Descending to the first lower-level reveals the ultimate entertainment space, framed by Corinthian columns and comfortably able to host a hundred or more of the most distinguished guests. The spa-level is a true showstopper, featuring an indoor pool lined with intricate mosaic tile, as one would find in the worldâs most luxurious resorts - the level also features a custom-crafted sauna. Five sets of imported mahogany, wrought iron, and glass double doors bring in the sights of lush greenery, feels of the river breeze, and the sounds of the national anthem being played across at the Carderock Center. A glass elevator overlooking the river and serving all four levels, home cinema, twelve music zones, five hand-carved marble fireplaces, and two separate two-car garages complete what is a residence built to the highest of international standards. Offering priceless river frontage in an irreplaceable location, Chateau Grande Vie is your very own castle on the hill.
